Diriyah Mosques
Two mosques reframe the logic of Najdi building, shade, courtyards and earthen mass, in a calm language for contemporary Diriyah.
Idea
The concept began with construction logic: deep walls, shaded arcades, layered courtyards and measured openings. Traditional elements became a system for light, movement and comfort.
Outcome
Two related proposals with a shared identity and deliberate differences in massing, courtyard and arrival. The submission placed among the competition’s top six finalists.
